who are we and Our MISSION
Docs International Health and Rescue Alliance Ltd. (DIHRA) is a non-profit NGO dedicated to providing sustainable health care to impoverished communities throughout the world. The organization was founded by Dr. Alan B. Rosenthal and his son Martin Brandon to offer the most isolated, underserved, vulnerable and neglected communities the inalienable right of health care.
Our vision
Our vision is to improve the health outcomes and quality of life of the people we serve, and to inspire others to join this cause.
Immediate goal
To provide 1.5 million indigent residents with desperately needed healthcare in the largest slum in Africa...Kibera. This historical project will provide access to medical and dental care that has not been available before.
OUR JOURNEY THROUGH
THE SLUMS OF KIBERIA
Our team's journey through the Kibera Slums was nothing short of life-changing. We witnessed firsthand the devastating impact that poverty and lack of access to basic medical care can have on a community. But in the midst of the heartbreak, we also found hope. Working tirelessly to provide medical treatment to those in need, we saw the resilience and strength of the Kibera community.
The hospital project in Kibera will be sustainable.
The National Health Insurance capitation program will help maintain the operational costs, since five schools surrounding our health center we will be serving have over five thousand children and parents that will be utilizing our clinic. Our Medical Advisory Board of our fifteen physicians, dentists and other healthcare workers volunteer and consult via telemedicine, in real time with our healthcare workers. The Kenya Medical Training Center will be rotating physicians, dentists, and other health professionals through our clinic.
We have identified a wonderful dedicated local physician, Dr. Joel who will manage and direct the medical clinic. He grew up in Kibera as an orphan, after both his parents died. He became addicted to alcohol and began selling it to survive and buy food. He was able to overcome these adversities, going to high school, college and then medical school. He is dedicated to helping the community of Kibera. I am personally contributing to his living expenses and rent for him and his family at this time. He truly believes, the kind of world we leave behind is from the gifts we give in the present.
In appreciation, for your assistance in raising the funds that we desperately need, I am inviting you to visit Nairobi, and see the work we are doing. It is a gratifying experience to see how so little can save so many lives...

TESTIMONIALS
Gabriel, Patient in Kibera
“Please, I request your time to read my letter with love. Hello, my name is Gabriel. I am 8 years old and am in grade 2. I will join grade 3 this year. I am happy to have met you and I thank you for your kindness and love you showed me during this hard time. I am not saying that my parents had no mercy but because they had no money to take me to the dentist, they would only afford painkillers but I also thank them because they showed love to me.
“So, I thank you for everything you did for me from the bottom of my heart. And I pray to my God to be with me all the time, so that one day, one time, I will be a doctor like you and assist others who will be in need of assistance and are not able to get it. Last, but not least, I thank you. I thank you! I thank you! May the almighty God bless you and add to you many more years to do your work. I Gabriel, when God will bless me, will join you one day, one time in your country. ♡♡♡…”
